Revolutions: Voices of Change

Trinity College Chapel, Cambridge

For his first concert with the National Youth Choir, Stephen Layton has chosen a vibrant and varied programme that traces the European choral avant-garde's 20th century movement from West to East. Starting with the angular fanfares of Poulenc's 'Exultate Deo', and ending in the watchful rapture of Łukaszewski's 'Nunc Dimittis', the concert also includes the world premiere of a new work by Ēriks Ešenvalds, commissioned by the NYCGB New Music Programme.
